Saying Goodbye to Winter

After long delay, I have tried to get my blog in gear before I get too far behind. Spring has sprung at Woodberry and it seemed too perfect to label the post as our goodbye to winter. We received record snow this year so we had lots of indoor playtime but lots of time to enjoy the snow. Here are just a few glimpses of what fun we had!

Harper is going to wait it out till next December...

Snow day lounging...why don't they make these pj's for adults anymore?

Harper and Hunt enjoying our last snow...and bracing for the impending attack/licking of our neighbors shiloh shepard.

Can we go outside now...?!?

I'm Ready!!!!
Growing up I had the best memories of celebrating Three Kings at my grandmothers house... and with our first child Hunt and I decided that we would bring this tradition back to life with our girls. Happy Three Kings Harper!

And what did they bring...a music set.

My first pack of big girl crayons.

My walk and roll toy, who knew that this would be louder than a real popper.

Our New Year's traditions have changed immensely since our family has expanded but then again, we have always thought it was a pretty overrated holiday. I have to say celebrating at 8'o'clock with your sweet little girl is not a bad way to ring it in.

We could not get enough of our party hats!

This is Harper's favorite game to play with her blocks...or the container that her blocks came in. Check out those cute piggies all smooshed against the plastic.

The only challenge to this great game is getting back out-we just fall over and roll out!

Hunt still manages to make the best projects...meet our new pet!

What can we build next?

This year we tried to go back to the cute little farm were we purchased our tree last year but the economy took its toll on yet another retailer. We found another local farm that wasn't too far out of the way and had a great selection. Harper and Hunt tapping "the one".

Harper had so much fun running up and down the aisles of trees. Hard to believe that last year she was still a little slug...seems like just the other day.

We have already learned that sometimes the best way to keep your toddler/child safe is to put them on your shoulders.

Harper really enjoyed trying on her snow suit on from last year...who would believe that she would have grown this much! The girl is a weed! We still managed to make it into a great cape.

We had to throw this one in...for pete and sonja!
