Our Tiny Dancer

With our first dance recital  right around the corner, we needed to experience our first studio photos. Most of the dance season we have skirted having to make the bun since Harper's hair has been in growing mode...but we went all out for the photos and she instantly turned into a ballerina.

All ready to go!
Daddy, I look like a ballerina!
The cutest little bun.

All dressed up and ready for photos.
Waiting our turn.
Maybe a bit nervous...
Addison, Sophia and Harper all had back to back photos so we have to capture this moment and get them together for one or two shots...
These girls are the sweetest, we all cannot wait for their performance on May 26th!

Meeting Miles Douglas Okun

While in Brooklyn, we certainly could not skip meeting Miles Douglas Okun. Miles is the first baby of my longest friend, Jenny. We stopped by to visit this new family of three and finally got to meet King Cutie Pie! He is sweet, cute, cuddly, happy and beautiful. Jenny and Jodan have done a great job transitioning into parenthood, I just wish we were closer to be part of it. Its hard to believe that my girls were here not too long ago and we certainly relished the baby holding while we were visiting.

Bundle of goodness!
Check those cheeks.
Distracted by ESPN...I don't know where he gets that from?!
Love those eyes, I think everyone is hoping that they stay this color.
Miles and his Dad
Hunt enjoying a little holding time too!

Celebrating M&M and Amendment One

We had a great getaway NY getaway this weekend. We drove up north to Brooklyn, leaving the kiddos behind in great care of the grandparents. We have been anticipating this wedding all year and were so happy  to be part of the festivities. Michael and Michael have been good friends from the moment we met them and we are so happy that all can celebrate the wonderful union that have been for years already...and we all raised our glasses for the many years to come!
Enjoying our weekend away and a wonderful celebration.
My old Gap-ers...Jesse Tran ( the best tailor EVER, and so much more!)and Amy Kim, my partner in production.
Michael Plante was a fantastic host and even better GROOM!

Making time to pick the berries...

We all know how busy things can get and sometimes you forget to stop and take time to do some things that are really fun for everyone. My M-I-L was here this past weekend and she mentioned wanting to go pick berries with the girls but they decided to go to Monticello instead...she planted the seed. My good friend Sarah just happened to mention how great her strawberry picking experience was at Miller's Farm in Mine Run (which also hosted Harper's School pumpkin patch experience.). We got our favorite friend Mandy to come along and we had a great time. The weather was too perfect, a little overcast and a little breezy so we did not roast ourselves while working so hard. We all cannot wait to go back!

Reiss doing such a great job picking. She loved the GREEN ones!
Mandy and Harper navigating the mud, tires and cloth in the aisles.
The girls doing great work!
Those little hands are perfect for getting under those bushes.
Harper searching for the biggest, best berries.
Look how great the berries look!
I want to do it ALL by MYSELF!
Reiss quit after getting her shoes completely coated in mud. I am so glad that I had our carrier with us.
Happy girls!
The teeny, tiny strawberry...it was Reiss's size (according to Harper).
Our final "buskets".
You can't really tell how dirty we got, it was pretty fun though.
Harper showing her muddy leg.
Muddy Bottoms!
We cleaned our berries, pureed them and made 5 jars of Strawberry Jelly which were too perfect for Teacher's Appreciation Day! We even had some left over for snacking and some tasty margaritas-YUM YUM!
